Moosend is a strong value pick for small teams that want email automation without paying for a higher tier. Its Pro plan includes unlimited email campaigns, automation workflows, landing pages, forms and A/B testing from $9 a month for 500 contacts, or $7 a month billed annually. It is a weaker fit if you need a free plan, transactional email on the standard plan, or more than five team members. Try it through Moosend.
This review is desk research from Moosend's public pricing page as it appeared on October 21, 2026, with alternative prices from Brevo's and Kit's pricing pages the same morning. WireRanked did not send campaigns through Moosend, so nothing here describes deliverability, editor speed or support response from use.
Is Moosend worth it?
Moosend is worth it when automation is the reason you are buying email software. The pricing page's comparison table marks multi-step automation workflows, the workflow builder and pre-built automation recipes as included on Pro, along with unlimited email campaigns and sends, landing pages, subscription forms, A/B testing, email heatmaps and spam testing.
The case weakens in three places. There is no free plan, only a 30-day trial. Transactional email is not on Pro: it is an add-on on the custom Moosend+ plan and included on Enterprise. And Pro allows five team members, so larger teams will be quoted for Moosend+ or Enterprise.
What Moosend is
Moosend is an email marketing and automation platform for newsletters, automated journeys, landing pages and sign-up forms. Its pricing page footer states that Moosend is now a Constant Contact company. Three plans are listed: Pro, which has published prices, and Moosend+ and Enterprise, which are custom-priced.
Moosend pricing by list size
Pro is priced by the number of contacts. The pricing page's contact selector shows these monthly prices: $9 for 500 contacts, $16 for 1,000, $24 for 2,000, $32 for 3,000, $48 for 5,000, $64 for 8,000, $88 for 10,000 and $160 for 25,000. Bi-annual billing saves 15% and annual billing saves 20%; on annual billing the same tiers show $7, $13, $19, $26, $38, $51, $70 and $128 a month, paid once a year.
By our arithmetic, a 5,000-contact list costs $576 a year on monthly billing or $456 a year on annual billing, and a 10,000-contact list costs $1,056 or $840. Moosend counts unique email addresses, so a subscriber on several lists is billed once. If your list grows past your tier, you need to upgrade, and the account shows a banner to warn you; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing cycle.
Discounts and pay-as-you-go credits
Nonprofits get a 25% discount that Moosend says can be applied on top of the 20% annual discount. Occasional senders can buy email credits instead of a plan: 350,000 credits cost $350, 500,000 cost $500, 750,000 cost $750 and 1,000,000 cost $1,000. Each credit is one email to one recipient, and Moosend says purchased credits never expire.
Free trial
The 30-day free trial needs no credit card and allows unlimited sends for up to 1,000 contacts, with email and live chat support. The comparison table limits the trial to one published automation workflow, one unpublished landing page and one unpublished form, and two team members, and it excludes the SMTP server. When the trial ends, you upgrade or buy credits, and Moosend says your account and data stay intact.
What Pro includes, and what needs Moosend+
Pro includes unlimited campaigns, marketing automation workflows, landing pages, subscription forms, an SMTP server, conditional content, AI-driven product recommendations, real-time reporting, Google Analytics tracking, email heatmaps, spam testing, A/B testing, API access, more than 80 integrations, email and live chat support and five team members.
Moosend+ is a custom plan that adds Enterprise features as paid add-ons: transactional emails, custom report dashboards, a dedicated IP, SSO and SAML, hosted files, CC and BCC, audience discovery, an account manager and extra team members. Moosend+ and Enterprise also add website-behavior triggers, such as when someone browses a page or views a product. Enterprise adds priority support, deliverability and strategy help and a service-level agreement.
How to choose a Moosend plan
Start with your list size, because Pro is priced by contacts and Moosend counts each unique email address once. A list of 1,000 contacts costs $16 a month on monthly billing or $13 a month on annual billing, and a list of 3,000 costs $32 or $26. If your list is near the top of a tier, plan for the next one: when you pass the limit, Moosend shows a banner and asks you to upgrade.
Pick the billing term next. Bi-annual billing saves 15% and annual billing saves 20%, so annual is the cheapest option if you are confident you will stay for a year. Nonprofits can add a 25% discount on top of the annual discount. If you send only a few campaigns a year, compare a plan with credits, which never expire.
Finally, count your team. The trial allows two team members and Pro allows five; Moosend+ sells extra members as an add-on, and the Enterprise column lists 10+.
Moosend compared with free plans
Moosend has no free plan, so the main question for small senders is whether its automation is worth paying for. Brevo lists a plan that is free forever with no credit card needed, and its Starter plan costs $9 a month, or $8.08 a month billed yearly. Kit is free for up to 10,000 subscribers, and its Creator plan costs $33 a month billed yearly at 1,000 subscribers. Mailchimp is free for lists under 250 contacts. Moosend's 30-day trial lets you test its workflow builder before you commit.
Moosend pros and cons
Pros
1. Automation on the entry plan: workflows, recipes and multi-step journeys are included on Pro.
2. Low price per contact: Pro costs $38 a month for 5,000 contacts on annual billing.
3. Flexible billing: monthly, bi-annual or annual plans, plus non-expiring email credits.
Cons
1. No free plan: only a 30-day trial, capped at 1,000 contacts.
2. Transactional email needs Moosend+ or Enterprise, both custom-priced.
3. Pro is capped at five team members, and website-behavior triggers are not on Pro.
Who should buy Moosend, and who should skip it
Buy Moosend if you run a small business or a growing newsletter, send marketing email to a list in the low thousands, and want automated welcome, nurture and re-engagement flows without a premium tier. The annual plan is the cheapest way in if you will stay for a year.
Skip it if you want to stay on a free plan, need transactional messages such as receipts from the same account on the standard plan, or have a large marketing team. Mailchimp and Brevo both list free plans, and Kit offers a free plan up to 10,000 subscribers for creators.

The bottom line
Moosend gives small teams a lot of automation for the price: Pro includes workflows, landing pages, forms and A/B testing from $9 a month for 500 contacts, and $38 a month for 5,000 on annual billing. Choose it if automation on a budget is the priority. Look elsewhere if you need a permanent free plan, transactional email on the standard plan or more than five users.
