lemlist vs Instantly turns on one question: should a single subscription cover sending, lead data and channels beyond email? lemlist's Email plan pairs 50,000 emails a month with a 650M+ leads database and unlimited users, and its Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn and a built-in dialer. Instantly sells sending and lead data as separate subscriptions. For most outbound teams, lemlist is our winner. Instantly is the cheaper start for a founder sending a few thousand emails to a list they already own.

This comparison uses the two vendors' public pricing pages as they appeared on October 17, 2026. We did not send campaigns through either tool, so deliverability, reply rates and ease of use are outside its scope. All prices are list prices in US dollars.

Real monthly cost for three setups

Category winner · · lemlistlemlist costs less than Instantly's combined sending and credits plans for a team that needs both.

A founder sending about 5,000 emails a month to an existing list is best served by Instantly. Growth covers 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts for $47 on monthly billing or $37.6 billed yearly. lemlist's Email plan costs $69 monthly or $55 yearly; it includes far more volume and the leads database, but a founder who does not need either pays $22 a month more on monthly billing.

A three-rep team running email plus LinkedIn steps and calls has one option in this pair. lemlist Multichannel lists LinkedIn automation, SMS automation and a built-in dialer, and lemlist says Multichannel pricing is based on the number of users. At the listed $109 monthly or $87 yearly, plan for that rate per rep and confirm the total at checkout. Instantly's plans are described in terms of email sending.

An email-only team sending around 50,000 emails a month that also needs prospect data pays $69 a month on lemlist's Email plan, with the leads database included. On Instantly the same team outgrows Growth's 5,000 emails, moves to Hypergrowth at $97, and buys lead data through an Instantly Credits plan from $47, for at least $144 a month on monthly billing.

Key tradeoff: Instantly is cheaper for a small email-only sender; lemlist is cheaper once data or extra channels are needed.

lemlist

One plan or two

Category winner · · lemlistlemlist is simpler for teams that want sending and lead data on one plan.

lemlist

Multichannel lists unlimited emails and messages, priced by user

Instantly

Light Speed: 500,000 emails a month for $358

lemlist includes a 650M+ leads database and an email and phone number finder into its Email plan, alongside warm-up and its Deliverability Hub. Finding contact details uses credits. The lead data enrichment add-on costs $20 a month on monthly billing or $16 yearly for 2k credits a month, which lemlist says buys 400 emails or 100 phone numbers. Buying intent signals are a separate $29 or $21 add-on for 100 signals a month.

Instantly separates the two jobs. Its Outreach plans cover sending, and lead data comes from an Instantly Credits subscription: Growth at $47 a month with 1,500 to 2,000 credits, Supersonic at $97 with 5,000 to 7,500, and Hyper Credits from $197 with 10K to 200K. Yearly billing lowers those to $37.6, $87.3 and from $177.3.

Two subscriptions are not inherently worse. A team that already buys data elsewhere can skip Instantly Credits entirely. But a team that wants database access and sending under one bill will find lemlist simpler to buy and easier to forecast.

Key tradeoff: lemlist includes a leads database in its sending plan; Instantly sells lead data as its own subscription.

Keep in mind: Credit definitions differ between vendors, so compare cost per contact found, not credit counts.

Channels beyond email, and what 'unlimited' means

Category winner · · lemlistlemlist is the only choice here for LinkedIn or calling steps.

lemlist

LinkedIn and SMS automation and a built-in dialer on Multichannel

Instantly

Plans are defined by email accounts, warmup, contacts and email volume

lemlist's channel story is its main advantage. The Email plan lists unlimited users and email senders. Multichannel adds five senders per user, unlimited emails and messages, LinkedIn and SMS automation, a WhatsApp add-on and a built-in call dialer. lemlist cannot send LinkedIn steps on the Email plan; that requires Multichannel. lemlist's Multichannel card lists SMS automation, while its pricing FAQ describes SMS and WhatsApp as add-ons, so confirm whether SMS costs extra.

Instantly's plans are written in terms of email: email accounts, warmup, uploaded contacts and emails per month. Its 'unlimited' applies to email accounts and warmup, which suits teams that rotate many inboxes.

So 'unlimited' means different things. On lemlist's Email plan it refers to users and senders within a 50,000-email monthly volume. On Multichannel it refers to emails and messages, with five senders per user. On Instantly it refers to the number of connected email accounts and warmup, with sending volume set by the plan.

Key tradeoff: lemlist adds LinkedIn and calling; Instantly focuses on unlimited email accounts and warmup.

Instantly

Volume ceilings and yearly prices

Category winner · · InstantlyInstantly is easier to budget for very high email-only volume.

For high fixed volumes, Instantly publishes clearer steps. Light Speed lists 500,000 emails a month for $358 on monthly billing or $286.3 billed yearly. Instantly's FAQ also tells teams that need more than 25,000 leads or more email volume that they can upgrade.

lemlist's Email card shows 50,000 emails a month. Its FAQ says the Email plan lets you choose a monthly volume, but its pricing page does not show prices for other volumes. Multichannel lists unlimited emails and messages, priced by user, and Enterprise is custom. A single sender who only needs email at very high volume may find Instantly's fixed tiers easier to budget.

Yearly billing narrows Instantly's entry price further: Growth drops to $37.6 a month and Hypergrowth to $77.6. lemlist's yearly rates are $55 for Email and $87 for Multichannel, with a 20% saving over monthly billing.

Key tradeoff: Instantly prices a 500,000-email tier on the page; lemlist's page shows only its 50,000-email Email price.

Limitations: This review covers published plans and prices only. We did not run campaigns, so we do not rate deliverability, warmup quality, reply rates or support. lemlist Email prices at other volumes (its FAQ says volume is selectable) are not covered because its pricing page shows only the 50,000-email price, and Instantly's trial terms are not covered because its pricing page does not show them. Commission terms with either vendor did not influence the result.
